Brief: Create a series of posters for an art exhibition.

Concept: I chose to develop a series of posters to advertise different techniques used by experimental artists. The concept for the series would be to take one image, and to stylise it accordingly to reflect the work featured in the exhibition.

Inspiration: I have always been an admirer of the Illustrator Jody Barton. He produces watercolour images of typography and iconography for many skateboarding brands. I had been experimenting with the watercolour process and decided it would be an ideal medium for a poster for an art gallery as it became an artwork in its own right.

Method: I found this to be a very interesting project, my differing treatments of the original image really helped me understand how different minds would give different answers to the same brief. I chose to create four images each inspired by prolific artists, old and new. The dimensions and colours stay consistent to create a coherent 'series' of designs.
